Building on 50 years of success, records, and challenges, the year 2024 marks a new milestone in the history of the ORECA Group and its local development with the inauguration of its Technocentre. Located near the Circuit Paul Ricard, this new facility—a true hub dedicated to performance—spans $8,000\text{ m}^2$. It has been designed to meet the most demanding standards of motorsport.
A Marker of the ORECA Group’s Development
Inaugurated in June 2024, the Technocentre is much more than a mere production building. A genuine living space designed to foster the pursuit of performance and share a passion for motorsport, it embodies the DNA and values of the ORECA Group.
At the heart of this 8,000m² building lies the Group’s "Motorsport" activity, featuring a new production unit that meets the most advanced standards in racing. As the Group's true flagship, the Technocentre embodies all of its values and identity. It reflects ORECA’s ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence, not only in motorsport but also in events and distribution activities.
"Throughout its nearly 50-year history, ORECA has always had one priority: performance! This is truer than ever for the cars we build. Over the past 15 years, we have acquired the expertise and experience that allow us today to be a world leader in Endurance prototype construction and to work with a motorsport legend in GT: Ferrari. The time had come to equip ourselves with industrial resources matching the highest quality standards in order to keep moving forward and fully project ourselves into new challenges. The Technocentre will allow us to tackle the future and the mutations of motorsport with perfectly scaled resources. Finally, this is a project close to my heart because, beyond the industrial and technological dimension, it will be a venue open to the outside world where the Group’s values and positioning will shine, and where each of our activities will be able to express itself." — Hugues de Chaunac, President of ORECA Group
A Living Space Carrying the ORECA Group’s DNA
A genuine space for living and transmission, where the leitmotif is to live and share a common passion, the Technocentre will stand as a daily testament to the values and successes that have shaped the Group into what it is today. Right from the design phase, it was conceptualized to be accessible to visitors, offering a showroom tracing sporting challenges and victories, a conference room, and the opportunity to discover the factory through a central glass-walled corridor. Finally, a specially designed rooftop for corporate seminars completes the offer.
A New Tool of Excellence for Race Car Production
The Technocentre is a strategic project for ORECA and its Motorsport division. It was designed to optimize development and production resources, taking into account the Group's current and future needs. It is the result of a growing commitment to excellence and innovation in race car construction, alongside intense growth: ORECA's workforce has doubled in just two years. Facing ever-increasing demand, these new facilities make it possible to meet the requirements of clients and partners regarding research, development, and production.
"This new race car production plant is a strong marker of the accelerating growth of our manufacturing activity. We also want to use this new factory as a lever for the future, giving ourselves the capacity to innovate and develop new products while consolidating our 'designed & assembled by ORECA' brand. Today, we are able to study, manufacture, and test the components (whether metallic or composite) of a car, including its engine, thanks to our workshops located in Signes and Magny-Cours. This makes ORECA Motorsport, more than ever, a benchmark global player." — Rémi Taffin, ORECA Motorsport Director

A New Assembly Space to Meet the Needs of Leading Manufacturers: Ferrari, Alpine, and Acura
As an assembler, ORECA Motorsport plays a crucial role in bringing its clients' sporting projects to life.
In 2021, ORECA Motorsport was selected by Ferrari to assemble cars and provide customer support for the new generation of Ferrari 296 GT3s, which entered competition in the 2023 season.
Alpine and Acura (the premium brand of the Japanese firm Honda) chose ORECA as their chassis supplier to compete in LMDh, the premier class of Endurance racing.
A Center for Engineering and R&D
In addition to car production and assembly activities, this building will house the design, research, and development activities led by an engineering team of 30 employees.
This 300m² office is the birthplace of innovations and where future Motorsport projects are designed. Engineers develop new technologies here, improve vehicle performance, and anticipate shifts in motorsport.
Furthermore, the workshops' expertise covers essential areas such as composites, production and machining, electricity and electronics, metrology and quality control, as well as assembly. This combination of technical skills and practical capabilities allows ORECA to successfully carry out highly technical projects and deliver comprehensive, innovative solutions in the motorsport field.
Centralizing Customer Racing Services
The Technocentre also houses services dedicated to customer racing (purchasing and procurement). Always striving for efficiency, a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system has been deployed to streamline processes and boost the Group's digitalization across all business lines. This software tool modernizes processes and provides real-time tracking of inventory and customer needs.
A Construction Integrating the Group’s CSR Goals
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was integrated right from the project phase of the building, which was designed in collaboration with the teams to improve their working conditions and comfort. From the construction phase, the company prioritized regional contractors, notably for rock reclamation, thereby avoiding the transport of materials off-site.
The building optimizes energy consumption through natural lighting, heat recovery, and energy-efficient equipment, such as LED lighting and heat pumps. Waste treatment areas are optimized to encourage sorting and recycling.
Because the well-being of the teams is at the heart of the Group’s concerns, the building features indoor and outdoor dining spaces, along with natural and artificial lighting that exceeds standard requirements. Acoustic management in noisy areas has been improved with specific suspended ceilings, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of employees at work.
Finally, the landscaped grounds utilize local plant species and decorative gravel to limit the use of lawns and promote biodiversity.
