TDS Racing is ideally prepared for the Hyperpole
Before the highly anticipated pole position race, the teams at the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans had a three-hour practice session. This free practice was the last one held in daylight before the Saturday start. The TDS Racing ORECA 07 #29 set the fastest time.
Free Practice 3:
LMP2
TDS Racing’s #29 ORECA 07 dominated today’s Free Practice 3. Rodrigo Sales, Mathias Beche and Clément Novalak are perfectly situated for the Hyperpole launching at 20:00. With a time of 3:36.827, the #29 beat out United Autosports’ #23 ORECA 07 by 0.609 seconds. Daniel Schneider, Oliver Jarvis and Benjamin Hanley are also eligible for the second phase of qualifying. Inter Europol Competition’s #43 ORECA 09 (Jakub Smiechowski, Tom Dillmann, Nick Yelloly) rounded out the session’s top 3.
The second United Autosports car finished in P4, demonstrating the performance level of the British team’s #22 ORECA 07. AO by TF’s #199 ORECA 07 shared by Louis Delétraz, PJ Hyett and Dane Cameron, the leading car of the first session, finished fifth.
HYPERCAR
The three hours of track time served as a rehearsal for Alpine Endurance Team. The French outfit is thoroughly prepared for long in-race stints with 42 laps covered by the #36 (Mick Schumacher, Frédéric Makowiecki, Jules Gounon) and 36 laps completed by the #35 (Paul-Loup Chatin, Charles Milesi, Ferdinand Habsburg).
LMGT3
The first Ferrari 296 LMGT3 constructed in the ORECA workshops finished seventh in Free Practice 3. Vista AF Corse’s #54 (Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci, Davide Rigon) will take part in the Hyperpole as will the team’s #21 and Ziggo Sport Tempesta’s #193.
