For the first time since 2019, TDS Racing’s #29 ORECA 07 will start from the pole at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Mathias Beche, Clément Novalak and Rodrigo Sales will lead the LMP2 field on Saturday at 16:00 alongside Inter Europol Competition’s #43 ORECA 07.

Thanks to a breathtaking lap, Beche clinched the pole for TDS Racing. The  Swiss driver placed the #29 ORECA 07 at the top of the timesheet in LMP2 and Pro-Am in 3:35.062. Sales, Novalak and Beche will lead the charge at the Le Mans 24 Hours on Saturday at 16:00.

Tom Dillmann gave it his all but Inter Europol Competition’s #43 ORECA 07 will have to settle for P2. Last year’s pole-sitter Delétraz was hoping to repeat the feat. Despite improvement in his final lap, the Swiss driver of AO by TF’s #199 ORECA 07 clocked the third fastest time.

The United Autosports entrants were deftly in the fight with the #23 ORECA 07 driven by Benjamin Hanley finishing fourth just ahead of the defending champion #22 of Pietro Fittipaldi. Thanks to Tom Blomqvist, CLS-Pure Rxing’s #37 ORECA 07 secured P6. AF Corse’s #183 ORECA 07, driven for the session by Matthieu Vaxivière, took seventh position and RLR M Sport’s #16 rounded out the top 8.

By only 0.2 seconds, IDEC SPORT Racing’s #28 ORECA 07 missed its chance at the Hyperpole. The car shared by Paul Lafargue, Job van Uitert and Sébastian Alvarez landed in P9. The #45 ORECA 07 of Algarve Pro Racing, #48 of VDS Panis Racing and #25 of Algarve Pro Racing completed the top 12.

HYPERCAR

A contender for pole position thanks to Mick Schumacher, the #36 Alpine driven by Frédéric Makowiecki finished ninth. The German and French drivers and teammate Jules Gounon will start the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours from the fifth row.

The #35 Alpine driven by Paul-Loup Chatin failed to make it into the final qualifying phase. The French driver came extremely close to the top 10. For a difference of 0.1 seconds, the car he shares with Ferdinand Habsburg and Charles Milesi will start from P12 on the starting grid.

LMGT3

The only Ferrari entrant in the Hyperpole, Vista AF Corse’s Ferrari 296 LMGT3 scored a front row seat in LMGT3. Alessio Rovera missed pole position by 0.3 seconds.

Ziggo Sport Tempesta’s #193 finished ninth in the category after leaving the track and Vista AF Corse’s #54 will start from P12.
