The ORECA 03 LM P2 enters the FIA World Endurance Championship finale with one objective : take a sixth victory in eight races ! With G-Drive Racing, the ORECA chassis have had three successes in four races on the international scene. The sister car, entered by Delta-ADR, will be looking for a podium finish. And finally, winners of the 6 Hours of Bahrain last year, Pecom Racing will be hoping to repeat their performance. The prototypes designed and built in the Signes workshops with Nissan V8 powerplants prepared by the ORECA engine department at Magny-Cours, have a chance to take a 10th victory on the 2013 season.

While G-Drive Racing is currently four the in the Teams championship in LM P2, its drivers have clinched third place in the Drivers Trophy LM P2 after three wins and one second place finish in the last four races. After a suspenseful round in Shanghai, Roman Rusinov, John Martin and Mike Conway once again took the win in China. And the three men head into the last race of the 2013 FIA-WEC with the same ambition. « The goal is clear, win! » explains Roman Rusinov, driver of the No.26 ORECA 03. « We have been anything but quiet these last four races and we will still be in « full attack » mode. Mathematically, the title is possible, but we have to be realistic : it will be very hard. We aren’t thinking about it. We simply know that we have nothing to lose and that anything can happen, like we saw at Shanghai with contact from another competitor. We have a good car, a good team and good driver lineup. If each does its job, then we have a good chance of getting an excellent result. But competition is very strong in LM P2. There are really good competitors in the class and at each race we have to reset and start the battle anew. »
It’s worth noting that in the FIA World Endurance Championship drivers points, the Rusinov/Martin/Conway trio have the distinction of being the first ranked LM P2 driver lineup.
Also entered by Delta-ADR, the No.25 ORECA 03, coming off three top 5 consecutive finishes, will be driven by Fabien Giroix, Robbie Kerr and Craig Dolby. The 6 Hours of Bahrain will mark the start of a long term partnership between the British team and Millennium Development.

Pecom Racing wants to « finish with a victory! »
2013_ORECA_LMP2_WEC_Bahrein_Pr49_©DPPIAlways part of the frontrunners since the start of the season, with most notably a win at Spa and several podium finishes, Pecom Racing was relegated to third place in the Teams Trophy after the 6 Hours of Shanghai. Although technically still in the hunt for the title, the team is clearly focusing on the win. A win that Pecom Racing has already experienced at the Sakhir track, in 2012 with the same driver lineup : Luis Perez Companc, Pierre Kaffer and Nicolas Minassian. « We want to finish the season with a victory » admitted the Frenchman. « We are focusing on that objective. There is nothing to calculate and we head to the event pumped up. Because of the position we are in, we can allow ourselves to be more aggressive, as much in our driving and setup as our strategy. We ran well at Bahrain last year, so we have a good base to start with. »

The final round of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship, the 6 Hours of Bahrain, begin Thursday, November 28 with two free practices. After a third practice in the morning, qualifying will take place on Friday, November 29 at 3:45pm (local time). The star twill be given Saturday, November 30, at 3pm.
