Deprived of their American dream during the first round of the FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP in Sebring, the SIGNATECH-NISSAN team will next be in action on May 4th and 5th, at the legendary circuit of Spa Francorchamps, in Belgium. True rehearsals for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 6 Hours of Spa will also be the first European round of the World Endurance Championship. Philippe Sinault’s team will be doubling its entry for this round. The nr 23 ORECA 03 – NISSAN will be driven, as at Sebring, by Olivier Lombard, Franck Mailleux and Jordan Tresson, while a second car, racing with the number 26, will be in the hands of Roman Rusinov, Pierre Ragues and Nelson Panciatici. With two ORECA 03 cars, SIGNATECH-NISSAN is putting everything in place for the second meeting of the season, and fully intends to play a leading role in the Belgian Ardennes !

Third on the grid last year, the official NISSAN team finished 5th in LMP2 and first in the ILMC, having climbed up from 35th place to 15th overall, further to contact with another competitor during the first stint. The two SIGNATECH-NISSAN crews will therefore be keen to shine this year, during this final rehearsal before the official tests for the 24 Hours of Le Mans !

Philippe Sinault & Didier Calmels : DOUBLING OUR NUMBERS ! “I would like to welcome Pierre, Roman and Nelson, as we are effectively doubling our numbers for this event. We have programmed two sets of tests next week, which will allow us to work on fuel consumption, aerodynamics and the tyres. We have nine hours less running than the cars that went to the end of the 12 Hours of Sebring, further to our retirement. We have to catch up the lost time, and to adapt our set-up to the very fast Belgian circuit, so that we can be at the front. Entering a second car is an important matter, as well as a major challenge, that we will further explain during a press conference at the Spa circuit on Thursday May 3rd.”
