Alpine Endurance Team set the pace in Q1.
In Hypercar, the #35 Alpine stood out by setting the fastest time of the session. The LMP2 field advancing to Hyperpole is now set. Under the new-for-2026 format, the fifteen quickest ORECA 07s secured their place in the next stage of the battle for pole position. Among the standout performers on Wednesday was the #30 Duqueine Team entry, with Doriane Pin impressing at the wheel.

LMP2 :
Backed by a large fan following, Doriane Pin delivered an impressive performance in Qualifying 1. The driver of the #30 Duqueine Team ORECA 07 topped the timesheets with a benchmark lap of 3:34.662. The “Pocket Rocket” completed her task before handing over to Richard Verschoor and Julien Andlauer, who will continue the team’s Hyperpole campaign on Thursday.
Having briefly occupied the top spot, Ian Aguilera ultimately settled for second place. The Mexican driver put the #37 CLX Motorsport ORECA 07 just half a second behind Pin. Bijoy Garg placed the #343 Inter Europol Competition ORECA 07 in third, only eighteen thousandths of a second adrift of Aguilera.
Louis Rousset (#29 Forestier Racing by Panis ORECA 07) and Ryan Cullen (#26 Vector Sport ORECA 07) secured their teams’ passage to Hyperpole by completing the top five. Ten other ORECA 07s also advanced by finishing among the top fifteen LMP2 entries: #43 Inter Europol Competition, #22 United Autosports, #24 Nielsen Racing, #28 IDEC Sport, #9 Proton Competition, #99 AO by TF, #4 CrowdStrike by APR, #183 AF Corse, #14 TDS Racing and #222 United Autosports.
Sixteenth in the session classification, the #44 Proton Competition ORECA 07 was the first car to miss the cut. Horst Jr Felbermayr and teammates Horst Felix Felbermayr and Lorenzo Fluxá will therefore start the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans from 16th position in the LMP2 class. The #17 Algarve Pro Racing, #48 RD Limited and #3 DKR Engineering entries complete the order.
Hypercar :
Alpine Endurance Team showcased its qualifying efficiency. Ferdinand Habsburg set the fastest lap of the session in the #35 Alpine with a time of 3:23.135. The French manufacturer will have both cars represented in Hyperpole, as Frédéric Makowiecki guided the #36 Alpine to tenth place.
It was also a successful first qualifying session at Le Mans for Genesis Magma Racing. Both GMR-001 Hypercars finished on the right side of the cut line, securing places in Hyperpole. Daniel Juncadella placed the #19 entry eleventh, ahead of the sister #17 car driven by Luis Felipe Derani in thirteenth.
LMGT3 :
In a tightly contested LMGT3 field, three Ferraris advanced to Hyperpole. Dustin Blattner put the #74 Kessel Racing Ferrari into fifth position. François Hériau secured eleventh place in the #21 Vista AF Corse entry, while Thomas Flohr ensured the sister #54 Ferrari also progressed by setting the fourteenth-fastest time.
The #150 Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari, shared by Custodio Toledo, Lilou Wadoux and Riccardo Agostini, will start twentieth in class. Takeshi Kimura, Conrad Laursen and Daniel Serra, driving the #57 Kessel Racing Ferrari, will line up twenty-first.
