Antonio Pizzonia : “The target is always to win!”

Antonio, first race in LMP2 at Silverstone and first win. I imagine you are happy with this debut?
“Winning at Silverstone was a dream come true. Walk away from my first ever weekend in WEC with a pole and a race win was more than expected. I knew the potential was there but when you change series/car/team and etc. you have to respect the learning curve and hope to things get together as quick as possible.”

What do you think about the ORECA 03 LMP2?
“I believe ORECA 03 has the perfect combination to succeed the entire season. Delta-ADR is doing a very good job extracting the most out of the car to make sure we have the fastest LMP2 car on track and same goes with Nismo Nissan guys. I’m hoping that my experience will add on what we can achieve every time we go to the track too.“

What is your feeling before Spa and your target there?
“Spa is one of my favourite tracks around the world and every time I have to go back there the excitement is really high. Last time I was there was a long time ago in a F1 car. So I’m really looking forward to go back and to do well again. The target is always to win!”

How it works between the two cars of the team?
“We have two very strong drivers line up in the team. But i like that! Not only we have to push 100% all weekend but as we share information, we only get stronger with both cars.”
