Mike Conway: “It’s all about winning races now!”

After a perfect meeting at Sao Paulo, for the fourth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, G-Drive by Delta-ADR heading to the 6 hours of the Circuit of Americas with one target: the win. Alongside Roman Rusinov and John Martin, Mike Conway shares this goal. It must be said that the British, impressive for his first season in Endurance, tasted his first success at Interlagos. “I think everyone feels like there has been some weight lifted of our shoulders after Brazil” admitted Mike. “We are pushing for more success for the rest of the season, it’s all we can do after a tough start.”

Mike Conway never drove on the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Like many others drivers but the British has a little more: he find back a country he knows well, the USA, where he regularly competed in Indy Car in 2009, picking up two wins and several podiums. “I love racing in the states and I am looking forward to going back and catching up with friends”, he says. “The circuit looks really good, I have driven some laps on a simulator but I can’t wait for the real thing!”

Competitive on all tracks since its first step at the wheel of the ORECA 03, Mike Conway seems confident: “I’m sure it will suit our car there as there are quite a few fast corners in the first sector. It’s always a close battle in the LMP2 field so looking forward to a good battle as always!”

And Mike to conclude with a clear message: “It’s all about winning races now!”
