ORECA chosen among the LM P2 manufacturers for 2017 rules

24H du Mans 2015 raceMajor player in the LM P2 class since 2011, ORECA has been selected by the ACO, the FIA and IMSA to be one of four chassis providers when new regulations come into effect in 2017. With 27 chassis built and 25 wins in the class in recent years, the latest of which came at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, ORECA has placed itself firmly among the top Le Mans Prototype constructors. Now, the various departments in the group are ready to take on a new challenge.

This corresponds perfectly to our plans to develop internationally, including our American office. »

Since beginning its involvement in the LM P2 class in 2011, ORECA has won 25 times with its customer teams, first with the ORECA 03, then the ORECA 03R and the newest model ORECA 05. The Alpine A450 and A450b were also built by ORECA Technology. In recent seasons, teams running ORECA chassis have won the European Le Mans Series championship (2012, 2013, 2014), the FIA WEC Trophy (2014) and the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (2011). The ORECA 05 won its class in the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours with KCMG, the first Hong Kong based team to win the twice around the clock classic.

With the best result by a French manufacturer at the 24 Hours of Daytona (5th in 2014), ORECA opened an office in the United States near Charlotte, of which its main goal is the commercialization of Le Mans Prototypes. The Group, composed of 200 collaborators in four activity centers, also comprises of an Asian subsidiaries based in Hong Kong and open since 2011.
