Following two days of Scrutineering in the Le Mans city centre, competitors in the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours finally hit the track on Sunday morning for Test Day. The drivers in the 93rd running took advantage of two sessions (10:00-13:00 and 15:30-18:30) to set their marks while rookies familiarised themselves with the legendary circuit six days ahead of the main event (14-15 June).

LMP2

Seventeen ORECA 07s lined up in the LMP2 category with RLR M Sport’s #16 ORECA 07 placing itself at the front of the pack. Michael Jensen/Ryan Cullen/Patrick Pilet also dominated Pro-Am. The fastest time clocked, 3:36.593, is not a true representation of the real level of competitiveness of each crew.

CLX – Pure Rxcing’s #37 ORECA 07 nabbed P2 in the morning session, Aliaksandr Malykhin/Tom Blomqvist/Tristan Vautier finishing ahead of Inter Europol Competition’s #43 ORECA 07 shared by Jakub Smiechowski/Tom Dillmann/Nick Yelloly.

The top 5 was rounded out by IDEC SPORT Racing’s #28 ORECA 07 (Paul Lafargue/Job van Uitert/ Sebastián Álvarez) and TDS Racing’s #29 (Rodrigo Sales/Mathias Beche/Clément Novalak).

HYPERCAR

For the second year in a row, Alpine Endurance Team is taking the start in the head category at the Le Mans 24 Hours. Hot off a successful early season in the FIA WEC, the French constructor is looking to lead the charge in Hypercar.

The morning session ended in 12th position for the #36 driven by Mick Schumacher/Frédéric Makowiecki/Jules Gounon trailed by the #35 sister car of Paul-Loup Chatin/Charles Milesi/Ferdinand Habsburg.

LMGT3

Built in the ORECA workshops at Signes, the Ferrari 296 LMGT3s are out in force at the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours. No less than five entrants representing the Italian icon will battle for victory in the category reserved for GT3s.

Three Ferraris slipped into the top 5 this morning with Vista AF Corses’s #21 shared by François Hériau/Simon Mann/Alessio Rovera taking the second spot.
