At the heart of the attention of the world of rallying in recent days at the FIA 5th Sport Conference, the new R4 category set up by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile is becoming a reality every day.

While the FIA validated the technical regulations at the end of its last World Council and defined the homologation procedures with the national federations all over the world, assembly of the test car continues at ORECA, the official FIA R4 supplier.

While waiting for the first Toyota Etios test this summer, some initiatives are begining to emerge. One of the great advantages of this new regulation is that it is possible to integrate the FIA R4 kit into most of the “compact” cars marketed in the world, some models have already been interpreted via a 3D simulation.
