Before facing the legendary 24 Hours of Daytona, which traditionally kicks off the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, two Acura ARX-06 and twelve ORECA 07 took part in the Roar before the Rolex 24, the final rehearsal before the double round-the-clock event scheduled for January 27 & 28.

After six testing sessions aimed at fine-tuning their setups, drivers had 15 minutes on Sunday to determine their starting positions.

In the GTP class, after a fierce battle, the two Acura ARX-06 from Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti secured the fifth and sixth fastest times.

Louis Delétraz, behind the wheel of #40, set a time of 1:33.100, while Filipe Albuquerque, driving #10, completed his fastest lap in 1:33.347.

In LMP2, the fight for pole position was intense, but Ben Keating once again demonstrated his skill on the Florida circuit!

Driving the ORECA 07 #2 of United Autosports USA, the reigning champion claimed his fifth pole with a best time of 1:38.501.

Inter Europol by PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports finished second with a tiny gap of 0.102 seconds, while the #04 of Crowdstrike Racing by APR took the third position.

The top five were rounded out by Riley’s ORECA 07 #74 and United Autosports’ #22.

Formerly in the lead, TDS Racing’s #11 finished sixth ahead of AO Racing’s #99, MDK High Class Racing’s #20, and DragonSpeed’s #81.

Despite an error, Richard Mille AF Corse’s #88 still secured the tenth position, ahead of Era Motorsport’s #18. Tower Motosports’ #8 closed the field in thirteenth place.

Teams now have one week to analyze the data from these intense three days before taking the start of the 24 Hours of Daytona, scheduled for this Saturday, January 27 at 7:40 PM (French time).
