The sun has risen at Le Mans as the competitors head into the last third of the race, 10 chassis of the 12 entered are still on the track, with four leading the LMP2 field. Shortly before 07:00, Jackie Chan DC Racing’s #37 ORECA 07 was forced to retire. The gaps are increasing a bit in the class and G-Drive Racing’s #26, solid leader of the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, has a three-minute lead on the #36 Alpine 470, namely thanks to an opportune safety car intervention. Jackie Chan DC Racing’s #38 ORECA 07 is in third place, 01:40.00 from its direct rival for the top step on the podium.

At 07:15, DragonSpeed’s #31, fourth in the rankings thanks to a consistent performance, crashed at Tertre Rouge. TDS Racing’s #28 slipped into the position after a tenacious climb throughout the night.

In LMP1, Rebellion’s #3 kept a steady pace to secure the third provisional spot behind the two official Toyotas, all while maintaining about a two-minute lead on its closest opponent, the #11 BR1 SMP.
