The Detroit Grand Prix was held this weekend, marking the sixth round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar. The 1 hour 40 minute race saw only the DPi & GTD’s start and the Acura DPi ARX-05 entered by Meyer Shank Racing finish second on the podium.

In a race that went off without incident, the #60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura DPi ARX-05 crossed the finish line in second place, just 0.398 seconds behind the winners. A one-stop strategy and a strong speed display by Oliver Jarvis and Tom Blomqvist allowed the #60 car to secure their starting position.

Meanwhile, the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura DPi ARX-05, which started third, opted for a two-stop strategy. Despite a superb overtake by Filipe Albuquerque on Richard Westbrook in the final moments of the race, the duo Ricky Taylor / Filipe Albuquerque completed the top 5.

At the end of the race, Meyer Shank Racing took the provisional lead in the championship standings ahead of Wayne Taylor Racing.

Filipe Albuquerque, Ricky Taylor and Oliver Jarvis will now compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans!

Then, the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen will take place on June 26 and all categories will take the start.
