Located right next the Paul Ricard Circuit, within Signes’s business park, ORECA Group has launched a major project to extend its current facilities, as the company is growing as a racing car manufacturer. Indeed, it will soon benefit from a new manufacturing plant that will meet motorsport’s highest standards. Construction work started in January 2022. The building will open in mid-2023.

A new state-of-the-art tool dedicated to race car manufacturing

Entirely focused on performance, this 8,000 m² building will ensure that ORECA Technology best carries out current and future projects. It has been designed to optimise production line efficiency, guarantee continuity and coherence among the building’s different spaces, and provide modern tools and equipment.

Beyond manufacturing and assembling, this building will also host ORECA’s engineering and R&D activities, and most particularly its Design Office. More than ever, this new facility shows that ORECA wishes to be a world reference and to continue to develop this activity, which is strategic for the Group.

A place reflecting ORECA Group’s DNA and ambition

The Technocentre will be the company’s true flagship, reflecting the Group’s values and identity.

Fully dedicated to and focused on motorsport, the Technocentre will be about seeking performance, but also about enjoying and sharing this passion. It will include a showroom tracing the sporting challenges and victories that the company has taken on and achieved. Other rooms as well as a rooftop will also be available in order to host corporate seminars and unique events including both tours of the centre and meetings/conferences, thus allowing to combine human adventures, quest for performance and technological boldness.

Hugues de Chaunac: “Throughout its near 50 years of existence, ORECA has always had one main objective: performance! This is more than ever the case for the cars we manufacture! For over 15 years, we’ve acquired the expertise and experience that today allow us to be world leaders in endurance prototype manufacturing, working with legendary motorsport make Ferrari. It was time for us to acquire industrial facilities of the highest quality standards in order to continue to develop and take on new challenges. The Technocentre will allow us to apprehend motorsport’s future and transformations with relevant facilities. Finally, this building is a project that I cherish because beyond its technological facet, it will also be a place open to the outside world and filled with the Group’s values, positioning, and dynamics that we’ve been putting in place – such as our ESR policy for instance.”

Technical Director, Rémi Taffin: “This new racing car production plant is a strong sign, demonstrating that our activity has clearly been picking up momentum. This tool will not only allow us to further progress in our current design, production, and assembly activities, but also enable us to shape our future, by providing us with an opportunity to carry out new projects and further strengthen our “Made by ORECA” signature. This new modern plant dedicated to chassis in Signes, together with our engine department’s new hydrogen facilities in Magny-Cours, definitely confirm that ORECA Technology is a key player with a worldwide influence.”
