After a particularly intense two-thirds of the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans, the LMP2 class continues to deliver edge-of-your-seat action. After a veritable mano a mano between United Autosports’ two ORECA 07s, now the English team’s #22 holds the lead followed by JOTA Sports #38 less than a minute behind.

Though rain was expected to join the party, it never arrived! The 15 ORECA 07s are still waging a fierce battle on a dry track. Steadily, the two United Autosports cars were edging toward the provisional podium until the #32 fell victim to an oil leak.

As night ended, JOTA Sport’s #38 ORECA continued to trail United Autosports’ #22 with Panis Racing’s tenacious #31 ORECA 07 earning the third spot thanks to a flawless race so far. G-Drive Racing went on the offensive at dawn as Cool Racing and Graff fought for a place in the top 5.

The #8 Toyota TS050 has maintained its domination in LMP1, but the #7 sister car has relinquished the second spot to the #1 Rebellion R-13 following a 30-minute detour in the garage with a turbo problem. There is still hope for Rebellion Racing! The R13s have the opportunity to figure on the overall podium.

The action on the track is still fierce with a little more than a quarter of the 88th 24 Hours of Le Mans remaining.
